logiccloud CONTROL · Connectors
More than 15 connectors.
Configured in the project.
From OPC UA and Modbus at the machine to MQTT, Kafka and SAP in IT — the systems CONTROL connects to directly.
At the machine
Industrial protocols
OPC UA — client and server
CONTROL reads and writes as an OPC UA client, with live browsing of variables, and provides its own values as an OPC UA server.
Modbus TCP and Modbus RTU
Over Ethernet, or serially over RS-232 and RS-485.
IO-Link
Through IO-Link masters that offer a REST interface (JSON over HTTP).
Local inputs and outputs
Dedicated connectors for the I/O of the WAGO CC100, the WAGO PFC200, the Raspberry Pi GPIOs and the KUNBUS Revolution Pi.
Into IT
Data and IT systems
MQTT
To your own broker or to logiccloud’s built-in broker.
Sparkplug B
To the Sparkplug B 2.2 specification — for consistent data models over MQTT.
Apache Kafka
Process data straight into your streaming platform.
InfluxDB
Write process values to the time-series database.
HTTP/REST and REST-RPC
REST calls from inside the control program — with RPC_CALL, a logiccloud extension to Structured Text.
SAP
Send process variables to an SAP web service.
Platforms and tools
Device platforms and services
ctrlX Data Layer
Data exchange with apps on ctrlX OS from Bosch Rexroth.
Weidmüller u-OS Data Hub
Connection to the Data Hub of Weidmüller u-OS.
Node-RED
As a connector — and, if you wish, as an additional service right on the device.
Grafana
Embed panels and dashboards straight into an HMI page.
Tibber
Current electricity prices as an input to the control.
Frequently asked questions about the connectors
My protocol is not listed. What now?
Fieldbuses such as PROFINET and EtherCAT, and S7 communication, are not among the documented connectors. A gateway with OPC UA or Modbus often closes the gap — talk to us about your plant.
Can I connect my own systems?
Yes, over HTTP/REST: with RPC_CALL the control calls REST interfaces directly from Structured Text, and over MQTT you can reach practically any IT system.
Where do I find the setup details?
Every connector has its own page in the product documentation.
